“Therefore, be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise” (Ephesians 5:15). The more you order your spiritual walk, the more disorder you will notice around you. Though you were aware that ‘creeps are out there,’ you learn that Satan reserves the worst of them for the pure in heart. Evil men target the lives of the good and come guarded and defended by their enablers. Tragically, there is nothing that can be said or done to eradicate these people from the face of the earth. Inevitably they come and go from your life and mine, so we must strive to set protections in place to minimise the damage they inflict.
As a wise Christian you deliberately seek to remove the obstacles obscuring your vision. Through prayer, wisdom gleaned from scripture, and trial and error, you will see evil for what it is. Failure to ‘wise up’ can only increase the damage and add you to the list of enablers these malevolent people collect. Godliness has a way of removing those rose-tinted glasses and exposing you to the stark glare of sin’s carnage. Pray ”that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.” (2Thess.3:2-3). Those who walk with the King step wisely.
